One-on-One Therapeutic Yoga Consultation

A therapeutic yoga consultation takes into consideration the complete state of one’s mental, physical and emotional health. In yoga therapy we believe that any imbalance in one of those will put the entire health out of balance,

We therefore focus on promoting health and preventing disease.

A therapeutic yoga consultation consists of:

  • Initial health assessment (1 hour)
  • Personalised therapeutic yoga and wellness session (75 minutes)
  • Therapeutic Yoga Program PDF

The health assessment is an interview during which I investigate your current physical, emotional, and mental health. Combining knowledge from Yoga therapy and Ayurvedic medicine a personalised program is designed for your needs.

During the personalised therapeutic yoga and wellness session, you will be guided through your yoga and wellness program which you will also receive as a PDF. The program will consist of a short program, with techniques to do everyday and a long program to do at least 3 times a week.

It is recommended to have your first follow-up consultation after 4-6 weeks to assess your progress. From here any necessary adjustments can be made so your program evolves in alignment with your healing needs.

A therapeutic yoga consultation program can consist of:

  • Asanas (postures)
  • Breathing and relaxation techniques
  • Ayurvedic dietary and lifestyle advice
  • Meditation practices
  • Purification techniques
  • Lifestyle modification and philosophical coaching
  • Referrals (medical and the holistic healing sector)

Discovering yoga and pranayama with Luke has been a life-changing experience for me.

After a long and quite exhaustive consultation, Luke has designed a personalised yoga program for me.

Well actually two programs:

  • one short, approximately 20 min long, for the days when I don’t have so much time for my practice.
  • and a longer one, lasting approximately 1h30.

Following this program on a regular basis has helped me in many ways:

Firstly, doing some pranayama (breathing exercises) in the morning, together with a short mindfulness meditation, helps me start the day relaxed and in a pretty good mood.

Practicing the different asanas of the program helped me calm my nervous system down and focus much more at work, which was not an easy task as I am a very fast person!

It also enabled me to heal a stomach pain that I had for more than 20 years (I simultaneously drank some turmeric juice every morning for a couple of months).

Moreover my personalised practice helped me release some trauma I encountered a few years ago because of a bad diving experience.
Since that day, not only was I unable to dive again, but most of all, Luke explained to me that this trauma was stuck in my body, resulting in a heavy breathing, and sometimes a strong feeling of anxiety in my chest area.

After some practice and some encouragements from Luke, I managed to release that trauma inside, allowing me to go back to one of my favourite hobbies!

I am so grateful to him because I never thought I would be able to feel that pleasure of diving again!
